# Duck Down

The card game of four hidden cards, a good memory and the fewest points, for two to four players at tables in the world, with computer players and a leaderboard.

Duck Down is the card game of four hidden cards, a good memory and the fewest points, for two to four players at tables in the game world, or against the computer. Everyone has four cards face down and knows only two of them. Card by card they swap the bad ones away, until someone calls "Duck Down".

It brings its own props (a round table that is a pond, chairs, 66 cards with ducks on them and a rubber duck), and everyone nearby sees the cards on the table. The game is played in an interface. The cards are dealt and every move is judged on the server, and a player is only ever sent the cards they may see.

## What you get

* **Hidden cards that stay hidden.** The server sends a player only the cards they may see. Until a round ends, every other card is a face-down prop, for players and bystanders alike.
* **Every move is seen.** Cards fly from the deck to the hand, into the row and onto the pile, on the board and on the table in the world.
* **Computer players** in three strengths, which know only what a person in their seat would know.
* **18 custom props**: a round table that is a pond, chairs, the cards, a deck and a rubber duck that sits with whoever's turn it is.
* **A camera over the table** for seated players, switched with one key.
* **Leaderboard and records** for games, wins, rounds, points and calls that held.
* **An optional stake**, chosen in the lobby from the amounts you allow.
* **Adjustable rules**: the number of rounds, the cards in the deck, a penalty for a call that did not hold, and whether known cards stay face up.
* **Spectating**, quick reactions, a timer for every step and reconnect protection.
* **Discord logging** for your staff: games, stakes and admin actions, posted to a channel of yours.
* **Exports and events** for your own scripts: tables, seats, records, standing a player up, game start and end.
* **English and German**, and every text open for translation.

## Requirements

None. The resource runs standalone. Whatever is running is used:

| Resource | What it adds |
| -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `qbx_core`, `qb-core` or `es_extended` | Character names and the stake. Cash from `ox_inventory` alone works too, and so do functions of your own |
| `oxmysql` | Records and the leaderboard. The table `duckdown_stats` is created automatically |
| `ox_target` | Sitting down and watching through the target eye instead of key prompts |
