# Promo Van

The Quicks Promo Van, an add-on vehicle with a Quicks livery and a score sheet on its roof that a game is played on.

The Quicks Promo Van is a separate resource, `qx_promovan`. It adds one vehicle: a van with a Quicks livery and a large score sheet on its roof. It does not need the Quicks game to run, and the game does not need the van.

|              |                  |
| ------------ | ---------------- |
| Resource     | `qx_promovan`    |
| Spawn name   | `qx_promovan`    |
| Name in game | Quicks Promo Van |
| Class        | Van              |

## Installation

1. Put the `qx_promovan` folder into your `resources` folder. See [Installation basics](/organized-chaos-docs/installation-basics.md) for the download and the licence key.
2. Add it to your `server.cfg`:

   ```cfg
   ensure qx_promovan
   ```
3. Restart the server.

There are no dependencies and nothing to configure.

{% hint style="info" %}
The van uses the handling of the Youga Custom, so the server needs a game build that includes that vehicle: `sv_enforceGameBuild 2699` or newer.
{% endhint %}

## Spawning it

Use the spawn name `qx_promovan` wherever your server spawns vehicles: an admin menu, a `/car qx_promovan` command, or an entry in your vehicle shop or garage script.

## Liveries

| Livery | Look                                 |
| ------ | ------------------------------------ |
| 1      | The Quicks wrap                      |
| 2      | Plain paint                          |
| 3 | The stock livery of the base vehicle |

Change it in any tuning menu, or from a script. Scripts count from 0:

```lua
SetVehicleLivery(vehicle, 0)   -- 0, 1 or 2
```

## The roof sign

The roof sign is a score sheet as a ladder of lit bars between two posts: the name and the six dice at the top, a bar for each of the four rows below, and a large pencil lying on top. It is extra 1 and is on when the van spawns. Switch it in a tuning menu that offers extras, or from a script:

```lua
SetVehicleExtra(vehicle, 1, false)   -- false shows the sign, true hides it
```

Near a van the sheet is animated: a game is played on it. The dice are thrown, crosses land in the four rows, rows are locked, and after the second lock the sheet is added up. From further away it shows a still picture, and the animation is paused, so it costs nothing while nobody can see it.

{% hint style="info" %}
The sign stands about a metre above the roof. Mind low garages and bridges.
{% endhint %}

If the sign stays on its still picture up close, look at the client console (F8). A line starting with `[qx_promovan]` says that the sign page did not load.
